You have a choice of remaining on the boat to enjoy the view or (if you are a tourist/spontaneous local) hopping on and off at each stop. Read, think and reflect inside Schoenstatt Retreat & Conference centre (Constantia, Cape Town)

A Trip to Schoenstatt Constantia

Today I re-visited Schoenstatt with my aunt to go pray and felt that I absolutely needed to share this place with everyone who has not been there yet. Jesus freak (like me) or not this is a place where all people no matter what their beliefs may come to find peace and reflect on life. There are several benches to sit in quiet thought or with a good read and many beautiful pathways to walk. Just when we thought this place couldn't get anymore comforting we found a beautiful horse hidden away across the main field. She seemed very afraid, but soon warmed up to us after we fed her. (Make sure you pay her a visit when you make your way there) There is also accommodation available, with nuns as neighbours! (View more details on their website attached below this post) I snapped a few pictures today, but keep in mind that pictures are not able to capture the peace that fills this amazing place :) you have to go either alone or with a very quiet friend lol to experience the healing that comes from spending time reflecting inside Schoenstatt! View pictures below and watch short videos of all locations on this Blog by searching the instagram hashtag #SAGuideBlog :) enjoy the experience!

Walk through Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens (Cape Town)

A trip to Kirstenbosch Gardens

If you're a nature freak like me, or if you just enjoy going for walks, you will love Cape Town's Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden! I've been there 4 times before and made it 5 yesterday, on a mission to take some pictures for all you tourists visiting South Africa (or locals) so that you can get a taste of what to expect - and because I just generally love spending time there lol let's be honest. Maybe it's the smell of the colourful flowers and bright green plants you're walking by, maybe it's the view of the mountain or the sky you're walking under... maybe it's all of that put together, but there is something about this place that leaves you feeling peaceful and filled with gratitude. There are, what seems to be, millions of different types of plants to be found inside what is known as and proven to be, "the most beautiful garden in Africa!"  Don't listen to me though, head there and experience it for yourself! Below are some pictures I took and you will find all the details on location, prices, times and website below this post! You can also view 15 second videos on Instagram by searching the hashtag #SAGuideBlog :) View pictures below:

Visit the Two Oceans Aquarium (Waterfront, Cape Town)

A trip to the Two Oceans Aquarium

The last time I visited the Two Oceans Aquarium was on the day that inspired the creation of this Blog. What I didn't mention in my first post was that on that day I applied for an annual membership card, which means for an entire year I have access to the Two Oceans Aquarium by showing the my card! I recommend this for anyone who enjoys watching ocean life and feels that they would be making a trip to the Two Ocean Aquarium more than twice in one year (I myself could spend everyday there), because it is definitely worth it. Entrance normally costs R118 for an adult whereas the membership card costs R324 for full year access. I was so excited when I got my card lol and it came with 4 10% discount vouchers for any four people I decide to bring along! How awesome is that? I felt so legit taking this card out today and just swiping my way in lol that 'I own the place ' kind of feeling. And I walked around taking videos which can be viewed on Instagram (you can view them by searching the hashtag #SAGuideBlog) and pictures which can be viewed below, so that you can get a glimpse of the beauty this building holds before trying it yourself! P.S - all details on hours, costs and website below this post :)
